  1. Urine Collection: Collect a fresh urine sample from your cat or dog in a clean container.
  2. Immersion: Completely submerge all the reactive pads on the strip in urine and remove them immediately. (Blot away excess urine by rubbing the edge of the strip against the edge of the container .)
  3. Waiting time: Place the strip on a flat surface and wait exactly 60 seconds for the reaction .
  4. Evaluation: Visually compare the color changes on the strip with the color chart on the back of the box, or place it in a digital analyzer for optical scanning.
